Art was thriving during the Renaissance period, Michelangelo, Leonardo Da Vinci, Shakespeare and many others made masterpieces that are still renowned today.
A Brief History on the Renaissance period
Renaissance in french means rebirth, and this period was a cultural rebirth. The Renaissance period started after the black plague, it started around the 1300s - 1600s. The Renaissance period started in Italy where a handful of Italian thinkers declared it to be a new period. It is based on the rediscovery of Greek and Roman literature. The Renaissance period is famous for its inventions and art, which both revolutionized how we live today. In art people started to paint more individual paintings, more paintings of the great outdoors and fewer church paintings. During this period people wanted to learn more about science and the body, this interest was fueled from the black plague (which occurred in the middle ages). During the Renaissance period great explorations were made. For example, Christopher Columbus discovered the New World (America) andJohn Cabot claimed Canada for England. Many inventions were made like the mechanical clock, the printing press, the scale for weighing, oil paints and flush toilets.

Everything i the renaissance period was so lame, like why couldn't they have just kept the lord and ladies and all the stuff from the middle ages. I hated how people had more freedom and could earn money at will, I know you might think me as cruel but then the middle ages were a little bit more fun than the renaissance period.
